Will the comb hurt my dog?
No - that's the point of it. The teeth are rounded and the head rotates, so force never transfers to the skin. Start at the tips of a mat and work inward with short, light strokes. If your dog has severe matting tight against the skin, see a groomer first and use the comb to prevent it coming back.
Which coats is it for?
Matting-prone coats: doodles and poodle crosses, spaniels, setters, long silky coats, and double coats that felt in shedding season. It isn't needed for short smooth coats.
How often should I use it?
A few minutes, a few times a week. Little and often beats a long session once a month - mats never get the chance to tighten.
